New Orleans Sewerage and Water Board (S&WB)

ILSI Engineering, as a subconsultant to the selected A/E consultant, CH2MHill, provides design and program management for the Retrofit Power Plant Hazard Mitigation Grant Project. This project will enhance/expand power generation capability to ensure continuous operating capability of pump and drainage facilities, as well as water and sewer operations; reduce the risk of hazard caused power outages that interrupt critical operations of sewer, water and drainage; protect critical network components by implementing specific protective measures to fortify critical facilities, reduce the risk of flood related hazards and ensure continued operation.  The design of this project will include the design of Generator No. 4; upgrade of Turbines 1, 3, and 5; upgrade of Boilers Nos. 1-6; and replacement of I-beams, internal grating, floors, etc. to the Power Plant.  This project will be completed in two phases.

Phase I includes the preparations of the following:

• Preliminary Design Report
• Final Design Plans and Specification
• Contract Documents for Bidding
• Maintenance of Plant Operations Plans
• Opinion of Probable Construction Cost

Phase II will require the following services:

• Provide Bid Services for the following bid packages:
  • New Oak Street Raw Water Intake and Pump Station
  • Power Plant Hardening and Retrofit
  • Emergency Fuel Storage
• Provide Construction Management Services
• Provide Construction Inspection and Administration
